Harper Lee (1926 – 2016) was an American author best known for the Pulitzer Prize-winning book To Kill A Mockingbird (1960). As one of the nation’s most celebrated writers, she remained unpublished and largely out of the public eye during the 55-year period between To Kill A Mockingbird and Go Set a Watchman.
